SMART Pads II eliminate the expense of having to purchase different pad sets for different patient types. These pre-connected pads are packaged in a semi-rigid case for added protection and are equipped with a HeartStart-compatible plug for easy hand-off to Philips advanced life support ALS monitor/defibrillators. The multifunction SMART Pads II connector is compatible with HeartStart manual defibrillators, and can be used for ECG monitoring, external pacing, and synchronized cardioversion as well as defibrillation. For patients less than 8 years of age or weighing less than 55 pounds (25 kg), use the FRx Infant/Child Key, if available.
